Speed Test

This page contains a small script that downloads a known size image and calculates the speed. Given the fact that Be has a very fast network, a big file (>10MB) will be used. Remember that speeds are in Mega bits per second, not Mega bytes.

The maximum speed a Be user can get is 24 Megs bits per second (24 Mbps) which roughly translates to 2 Mega bytes (MB) per second.Remember to stop all other downloads while performing this test otherwise the numbers given will not be accurate.
